This needs a good bit of airbrushing and decals next. All the intakes, and exhaust is on. Spinner fits real well to the back plate with no rubbing. More tomorrow.
I’m starting a new series of paintings on aviation and rocketry. This is the first. It’s my Estes Bigdaddy.
I am so pleased with this line of kits. They are amazing and build so straight and true. Not to mention how scale the lines are.
They say to use paper patterns from the plans to sheet the cowl area, then tissue and paint. I opted to print waterproof ink sheets of paper with the colors then trace the patterns and apply. to my surprise it worked perfectly.

I got this from: https://dynasoarrocketry.com/ and they have a few different models I’m building the next one being the YF-12 (SR-71).
Just finished the Aurora Clipper.
Finally got to do some more on the BF-109 from Vintage Model Company. I also so have nearly finished their Minimoa RC glider. It was a much harder build than the 109.
Ad for my studio toy shop Mary created.
This rocket when finished will test launching and separation from the booster the Space Ferry which I will fly back down under radio control.
Construction has started and the entire rocket is framed up. Wings will be made larger to shift the CG and increase wing area.
More to come on this soon.
This is such a nice build. It just has all the right shape. Just filling the nose plug to a nice contour with balsa fill. More this week. Don’t mind the Minimoa in the BKG. I’ll get back to that too.
